By downloading, installing, or using LedgerSprout (the "Software"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
SuperDave Lab grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use LedgerSprout on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and, where applicable, your purchased license tier.
You may not:
Software updates, including new and updated bank statement parsers, are included at no additional cost for every edition, with no time limit. There is no separate upgrade window or maintenance fee: an Individual license installed years from now still receives current releases.
What a Pro term buys is the Pro feature set, not access to updates. When a Pro term ends, updates continue as normal; only the Pro-only features listed on our pricing page become unavailable.
We do not guarantee that any particular bank statement format will be supported, or will remain supported, in any given release.
A Pro license runs for one year from the date of purchase. Pro licenses do not auto-renew and we do not store your payment details for recurring billing. To continue with Pro, you purchase a new Pro license.
After the one-year term ends, Pro features remain fully available for a grace period of 14 days. The Software will remind you in-app as the term end approaches and throughout the grace period.
If the grace period ends without a new Pro purchase, your key reverts permanently to the Individual level. You keep unlimited statement imports, the category and rule editor, CSV and XLSX export, and all future updates. You lose the Pro-only features, which at the time of writing are QFX export, direct database export, the custom parser designer, the command-line converter, and priority support. Nothing you previously exported or created is removed or made inaccessible.
Community Edition receives updates at our discretion.
A beta license is granted free of charge in exchange for participation and feedback. It carries an end date recorded in the key itself and enforced offline by the Software — no account, activation server, or check-in is involved. The same 14-day grace period and in-app reminders apply as for a Pro term.
When a beta license ends, the Software reverts to Community Edition. Unlike a lapsed Pro term, no paid tier remains, because a beta license is not a purchase. Statement imports become subject to Community limits and export is CSV only. Files you have already exported, and any categories or rules you created, are unaffected and remain on your device.
Beta licenses may be issued, declined, or ended at our discretion. Purchasing an Individual or Pro license at any time replaces a beta license and is unaffected by its end date.
LedgerSprout processes all files locally on your device. No financial data, document content, or personal information is transmitted to SuperDave Lab or any third party during normal use. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The only network connections made by the Software are:
LedgerSprout uses automated parsing to extract transaction data from PDF bank statements. Results are generally accurate but may contain errors due to variations in statement formatting, image quality, or unsupported layouts. Always verify exported data before using it for financial, tax, legal, or accounting purposes. SuperDave Lab is not liable for decisions made based on parsed output.
LedgerSprout, its parser library, and all associated assets are the property of SuperDave Lab. User-created parsers and category rules you author yourself remain your property.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SUPERDAVE LAB DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SUPERDAVE LAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Individual and Pro licenses include a 14-day refund guarantee from the date of purchase. To request a refund, email ledgersales@superdavelab.com within 14 days of your purchase date.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the applicable courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
